Spinoza : entre anthropologie et psychologie

What is this human nature that Spinoza talks about everywhere and that he does not define anywhere ? If we can shape the contours of a spinozist anthropology, what psychology can we then draw from it ? The reflections proposed in this file have been conducted both within the Spinoza philosophy, as questions of interpretation of the system, but also outside this philosophy, as questions about the use that can be made of Spinoza today. The file consists of six articles. Ursula Renz’s question is about the relevance, in Spinoza’s philosophy, of a concept that is currently experiencing renewed interest, that of “life-form”, in its dual biological and moral dimensions. If we can talk about anthropology in Spinoza, it can only be, as Sophie Laveran’s contribution shows, an anthropology that is both “critical” and “practical”. Pascal Sévérac’s article addresses the question of anthropology and psychology in Spinoza through the prism of childhood. Raphaël Chappé confronts François Zourabichvili’s interpretation with that of Althusser, in order to understand how both pose the problem of psychological life, one through the idea of form, the other through that of structure. Finally, the articles proposed by Julie Henry and Yves Clot provide living examples of what a current use of Spinoza can be, in the field of anthropology and psychology.
Quelle est cette nature humaine dont Spinoza parle partout et qu’il ne définit nulle part ? S’il est permis de dessiner les contours d’une anthropologie spinoziste, quelle psychologie peut-on alors en tirer ? Les réflexions que propose ce dossier ont été menées à la fois à l’intérieur de la philosophie spinoziste, comme pistes d’interprétation du système, mais aussi à l’extérieur de cette philosophie, comme questions sur l’usage qu’on peut en faire. Le dossier est constitué de six articles. Celui d’Ursula Renz interroge la pertinence, appliqué à Spinoza, d’un concept qui connaît actuellement un regain d’intérêt, celui de « forme de vie » ou « life-form », dans sa double dimension biologique et morale. Si l’on peut parler d’anthropologie chez Spinoza, il ne peut s’agir, comme le montre la contribution de Sophie Laveran, que d’une anthropologie à la fois « critique » et « pratique ». L’article de Pascal Sévérac appréhende quant à lui la question de l’anthropologie et de la psychologie chez Spinoza à travers le prisme de l’enfance. Raphaël Chappé confronte l’interprétation de François Zourabichvili avec celle d’Althusser, afin de comprendre comment tous deux posent le problème de la vie psychique, l’un à travers l’idée de forme, l’autre à travers celle de structure. On trouvera enfin dans les articles que proposent Julie Henry et Yves Clot des exemples vivants de ce que peut être un usage actuel de Spinoza, dans le champ de l’anthropologie et dans celui de la psychologie.
